In the 9th edition of The Artist At Play we are going on a deep dive underground with the theme “METAL”. From Richard Serra’s steel inclined planes, Louise Bourgeois’ gigantic spider sculpture “Maman”, and Eduardo Chillida’s abstract Comb of the Wind, to metal and noise music, this material has pushed artistic expression beyond the norms towards wild experimentation that has defined entirely new genres. The Artist at Play is a pop-up monthly event that challenges artists to experiment. People from various fields can participate - the theme is the same, but the interpretation depends on the artists. Each artist has a month to work on their idea, and on the last Tuesday of the month, we gather at Cultural Space Bobbina to see what they have accomplished.Partners of the event: Cultural Space Bobbina and Association A.R.K.I.
